Check quality of wheat: Shivajirao Deshmukh

Mumbai, July 24 (UNI) Maharashtra Legislative Council Chairman Shivajirao Deshmukh today directed the Food and Civil Supplies Minister to hold a meting to check whether the wheat distributed through the fair price shops is worth eating for human beings.

Mr Deshmukh's directives came during the calling attention notice by Suresh Deshmukh (Cong) regarding the distribution of red wheat in Parbhani district.

Shiv Sena-BJP legislators raised slogans against the government alleging the distribution of low quality wheat and even entered the well of the House.
