Bharat Forge Q1 net up 20.52 per cent

New Delhi, July 24: Auto components maker Bharat Forge Ltd today said its net profit increased by 20.52 per cent to Rs 64.81 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared to Rs 51.51 crore during the same period a year ago.

Total income also shot up by 19.33 per cent at Rs 550.21 crore for Q1FY07 against Rs 443.82 crore in the first quarter during the previous fiscal, a press release said.

The Group's net profit soared by 8.47 per cent to Rs 80.43 crore for the same quarter this year compared to Rs 73.61 crore during Q1FY06.

The total income also witnessed a hike of 9.31 per cent to Rs 1,115.29 crore for the first quarter this fiscal against Rs 1,011.45 crore for Q1FY06.
