AIL signs tripartite MoU for organic cotton

New Delhi, July 24: Textiles firm Alok Industries Ltd (AIL) today said it has entered into a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a cotton grower and an apparel maker for cultivation and supply of organic cotton.

Under the agreement, AIL will take organic cotton from Union Nationale Des Producteurs De Cotton Du Burkina Faso, using it to make fabrics, and supply it to Sri Lanka's MAS Intimates.

MAS will then use the fabrics to make apparel for Limited Brands and Victoria's Secret, the company said in a statement.
