55-year-old crushed to death while boarding DTC bus

New Delhi, July 24 (UNI) A 55-year-old man was crushed to death while trying to board an overcrowded DTC bus in Saraswati Vihar area of North-West Delhi this afternoon.

Kishan Chand, resident of Begumpur, slipped while trying to board the DTC bus near Wazirpur depot, police said.

He came under the rear wheel of the bus and was seriously injured.

He later succumbed to his injuries added the police.

Jaipal Singh, the driver of the bus, plying on route no 114 from Madhuban Chowk to Old Delhi Railway Station, has been arrested.

Sources said, due to few Bluelines on roads, DTC buses were overcrowded leading to people often falling while boarding it.
