2 more deaths due to monsoon related diseases

Mumbai, July 24 (UNI) Even though rains have taken a long break, two persons here in the metropolis have succumbed to monsoon-related diseases, taking the toll to 69 this season.

During the last 24 hours, a 41-year-old male succumbed to fever in the Sion Hospital.

A 50-year-old female succumbed to malaria in the King Edward Memorial Hospital during the sajme period, civic health officials informed.

In the last 24 hours, 191 patients of fever, 69 of gastroenteritis, 11 of leptospirosis, 4 of dengue and 52 of malaria have been admitted to various civic hospitals in the city.
