UP govt employees' float new confederation
Lucknow, July 23(UNI) In order to create a healthy and stress free work atmosphere in state government departments, a new employees organisation has been floated in Uttar Pradesh under the banner of UP Officers-Employees Confederation.
The confederation is a registered body and will act as an apex organisation of all the employees' and officers' unions of the state government.
The confederation's new chairman Hardev Singh told mediapersons here that the main objective of the organisation will be to work as a bridge between the employees and the government.
It main demand before the government will be to provide interest free loans to employees for higher education, marriage of their children and for other urgent needs. ''Financial crisis is the main reason for employee stress which also leads to corruption'', he added.
Mr Singh said the organisation will also hold awareness campaign for personality development and will discuss performance based promotion for employees, particularly of Grade 4 workers, with the government.
In the initial stages, three zones has been created within the Confederation-- central zone (Lucknow, Kanpur, Faizabad, Devipatan and Chitrakoot divisions), west zone (Jhansi, Agra, Meerut, Saharanpur, Moradabad and Bareilly divisions) and East zone (Gorakhpur, Basti, Azamgarh, Varanasi, Mirzapur and Allahabad divisions).
