Three women killed in road mishap

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, July 23 (UNI) Three women, including a mother and daughter, were killed and two men injured when the auto in which they were travelling collided with a lorry between Duddukuru and Devarapalli villages on the Chennai-Kolkata NH no.5, this evening.

Police said the mishap occurred when the auto attempted to overtake another lorry.

The deceased included Ahmadunnisa (50) and her daughter Abdul Ameerunnisa (32) of Gowripatnam village. The identity of the third victim was yet to be identified.

The bodies were sent to the Kovvur Government Hospital for post-mortem.

The lorry driver and auto driver were still at large.
