Three killed, 15 injured in Kashmir

Srinagar, July 23 (UNI) Three people were killed and 15 injured in different accidents in the Kashmir valley today, a police spokesman said.

He said a pedestrian, Waseem Ahmad Raher was hit and critically wounded by a speeding vehicle at Dailgam in the south Kashmir district of Anantnag. He was admitted to hospital where he died.

Nine passengers were injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling turned turtle near Mungloora Kunzer in Baramulla district this morning. The injured were hospitalised.

He said three people were injured when a sumo turned turtle near Jabla in Uri while three people were injured in a similar accident at Pampore. All the injured have been admitted to different hospitals.

The Spokesman said a student, Bilal Ahmad, was washed away in Behak Nallah in Kokernag in south Kashmir.

One Mohammad Yousuf Reshi was injured when a stone hit him at a stone quarry at Samboora, Pamnpore.

The Body of a 70-year-old unidentified person was recovered under suspicious circumstances at Wakbal.
