TDP leaders arrested at Obulapuram mining
Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, July 23 (UNI) Police today arrested the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLAs and MLCs when they tried to proceed towards Obulapuram MIning Company from Rayadurg.
Police said the legislators, who were staging a dharna before Rayadurg police station since two days demanding that they be allowed to visit the mining area, started to proceed towards the area by buses.
As Section 144 was clamped in the police station limits, police arrested the TDP leaders. The arrested leaders were sent to Hyderabad under police escort.
