Sun Pharmaceuticals net up 34.32 per cent

New Delhi, July 23: Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd today said the net profit jumped by 34.32 per cent at Rs 225.39 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 148.02 crore during the same period a year ago.

The company's total income also went up by 24.34 per cent to Rs 747.6 crore for Q1FY07 as against Rs 565.62 crore in the corresponding period previous fiscal.

The Group's net profit soured by 22.21 per cent to Rs 227.2 crore for the first quarter compared to Rs 176.73 crore in Q1FY06.

The total income of the Group also increased by 21.72 per cent to Rs 688.05 crore in Q1FY07 from Rs 538.57 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
