Slight rainfall in Kolkata

Kolkata, Jul 23 (UNI) Kolkata and its adjoining areas received slight rainfall today but it was not enough to bring relief to the people.

The Alipore Met department recorded about 4.3 mm rainfall.

The maximum temperature was 30.3 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal while the minimum was 24 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal.

The humidity at 96 per cent added to the discomfort of the Kolkatans.

The Met office forecasts a generally cloudy sky with few spells of rain or thunder showers in some areas.
