Ryots shoild be debt-free: Joshi

Ujjain, MP, July 23 (UNI) BJP leader and former Union Minister Murli Manohar Joshi today said that the country's peasants should be free of hunger and debt else they might be forced to resort to militancy.

''If a country is not self-sufficient in foodgrain, it cannot be considered independent. Foodgrain should be kept away from the influence of the futures market,'' he said while inaugurating the Bharatiya Kisan Morcha's National Executive here.

Among those present was local MP Satyanarayan Jatia.
