Rs five crore heroin seized in Punjab
Amritsar, July 23 (UNI) The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) today seized five kg heroin worth Rs five crore in the international market near Kathunangal village in the district.
According to DRI sources, two persons, Sukhchain Singh and his nephew Rajinder Singh were taken into custody in this connection.
The drug was being transported to Amritsar from Jammu in a car when it was seized.
On the report of the DRI the Punjab Police registered a case under the NDPS Act against the duo.
