Prohibitory orders clamped in MP town

Dhar, MP, July 23 (UNI) Prohibitory orders under section 144 of the CrPC were today clamped in this district's Kukshi town following stoning and arson after communal tension, police said.

An argument was going on between managers of a place of worship at Kachahri square and panchayat regarding land near the place of worship.

After heated exchanged over the issue, both the sides clashed today. An agitated mob resorted to stoning and set some shops on fire.

Police used mild force and lobbed teargas shells to disperse the crowd.

Senior police officers rushed to the spot.
