PDS rice seized, one held

Visakhapatnam, July 23 (UNI) The City Task Force Police today arrested a merchant for allegedly misusing rice meant for public distribution, at Allipuram here.

Police said D Venkataramana of Anakapalli was arrested and 200 bags of PDS rice worth Rs one lakh seized from a lorry.

He was produced before a local court here which remanded him to police cusody.
