One killed in hit and run incident

Jamnagar, July 23 (UNI) A truck driver has been charged with murdering his own brother in an alleged fight over property near Bhatia Town on Jamnagar-Dwarka Highway, 150 kms away from here.

Police sources today said that the victim Jayantibhai Ukabhai, brother of the the accused truck driver Jamanbhai Ukahai had arrived at Bhatia Town last night for a discussion over a demand of Rs 50,000, as his right from the ancestral property.

However, their discussion failed and in a fit of rage Jamanbhai run over his truck on Jayantibhai killing him on the spot. Later, he surrendered before the Kalyanpur police station.

Kalyanpur police have registered a case of murder against him and police sub inspector J K Pandya is investigating further into this matter, police added.
