NDA appeasing minorities: Uma
Indore, July 23 (UNI) Bharatiya Janshakti Founder-President and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti today accused the NDA of adopting a minorities' appeasement policy by nominating Ms Najma Heptulla as its vice-presidential candidate.
''And it was the saffron party that initially accused the Congress of appeasement,'' the firebrand sadhvi told reporters at nearby Dakachya.
Regarding the presidential election, Ms Bharti said that she had directed all her loyalist MLAs in Madhya Pradesh to vote for NDA-supported Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.
''By taking an initiative towards protecting the Palk Strait's Ram Setu, Congress President Sonia Gandhi can alter people's perception regarding her,'' the sannyasin added.
