MPHC directs action against errant colleges

Jabalpur, July 23 (UNI) Directing stern action against Madhya Pradesh's private medical and dental colleges that flouted MCI and DCI rules vis-a-vis admission, the High Court today ruled that ineligible students' admission be annulled.

A PIL by ABVP Jabalpur's Abhilash Pande was heard by Chief Justice Anang Kumar Patnaik and Justice Ajit Singh.

The petitioner submitted that 40 admissions were not made as per the Common Admission Test merit list. In an affidavit, MCI and DCI accepted that they objected to 38 admissions. Advocate Pushpendra Kaurav was the petitioner's counsel while the government was represented by Advocate Samdarshi Tiwari.
