Gateway of India blast complainant dead
Mumbai, July 23 (UNI) A police constable, who was also a complainant in the bomb blasts at Gateway of India died in a road accident near Podar Hospital in south central Mumbai, police said here today.
The Gateway of India blasts on August 25, 2003 had left 25 persons dead and several injured.
At around 1800 hours yesterday, constable Kamelo Jokim Raees (38) was on his way home on his motorbike when it slipped near Podar hospital, at Worli Naka and rammed into a road divider. He suffered severe head injuries in the mishap and was rushed to nearby Podar Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, police added.
