Anand Mohan surrenders in court, released on bail

Patna, Jul 23 (UNI) Former MP from Bihar Anand Mohan today surrendered before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) and was later released on bail in connection with the case related to manhandling the husband of JD(U) MLA Asha Devi at gun point.

During the day, Mr Mohan surrendered before CJM (incharge),Patna, Mithilesh Kumar Rai and filed a bail petition on the basis of anticipatory bail already granted to him by the district judge.

The court released Mr Mohan on a bail bond of Rs 10,000 with two sureties of the like amount in the light of the anticipatory bail order.

According to the charges, Mr Mohan manhandled the husband of JD(U) MLA Asha Devi at gunpoint in a function on May 3, 2007 under Patliputra police station of the state capital.
