Administration alerts people regarding explosions

Itanagar, Jul 23 (UNI) Papum Pare district Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bidol Tayeng has alerted the citizens against firing or explosions by insurgents in the twin Capital complex of Arunachal Pradesh.

Mr Tayeng here today said some banned outfits and foreign agents have sneaked in here and Naharlagun with arms, ammunition and explosives since last few days.

Police were carrying out intensive checking of vehicles, plying within the complex, at several points to avoid any untoward incidents, he added.

The DC had also appealed to all sections of people not to panic and cooperate with the police while checking of vehicles at specific points.

He also asked the people to immediately report to the police if they find any suspicious person or object in the complex and added that all the hotels and house owners should be cautious while renting rooms to strangers.
