12 probables selected for FIBA Championship

Bangalore, July 23 (UNI) Twelve probables have been selected to participate in the 24th FIBA Asia Championship Cup to be held from July 28 to August five at Tokushima, Japan.

In all 16 teams are participating in the Championship and they were divided into four groups. India was placed in Group 'C' along with Qatar, Kazakhstan and Indonesia.

The Indian team was undergoing training at the Sports Authority of India (SAI), South Centre in the outskirts of the city under the supervision of Serbian coach Alksandar Bubakan.

Karnataka Baskeball Association President K Govindraj, who is accompanying the team as Chief De Mission and Manager, told UNI that the team will be leaving here tonight.

The probables: Sanjay Raj, Sambaji Kadam, Roshan, Rizyauddin, Muralikrishna, Jayram, Shivakumar, Dilwar Singh, Lokesh Yadav Trideep Rai, Anoop and Jagadeep. Chief Coach: Alksandar Bubkan, Coach: Mohinder Singh Rathore Chief De Mission and Manager: K Govinda Raj.
