Train traffic through Nagpur remains disrupted
Nagpur, July 21 (UNI) Train traffic on the Nagpur-Howrah route continued to be out of gear on the second day running today consequent to yesterday's derailment of a goods train near Chakradharpur station in Jharkhand.
Several trains on the route were running four to seven hours late because of the derailment that occurred on the South East Central Railway (SECR), according to a Central Railway (CR) press release here.
The 2860 Howrah-Mumbai Geetanjali Express was running 7 hours and 40 minutes late, while 2870 Howrah-Mumbai Express was running 7 hours and 20 minutes behind schedule, the press release said.
Similarly, the 2810 Howrah-Mumbai Mail was running late by 2 hours 30 minutes, the 7092 Rajendra Nagar-Secunderabad Express by 4 hours and the 2130 Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express by 2 hours, the press release added.
