TN Governor greets Pratibha Patil

Chennai, July 21 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala today greeted Ms Pratibha Patil on her victory in the Presidential poll and on becoming the first woman to achieve the honour.

In his message here, he said ''Ms Patil's assumption of this august office as the first woman to do so is a moment of great pride for the country.'' He said ''I am sure that Ms Patil's wealth of experience in public life would lead the nation to greater heights among the comity of nations.'' UNI
