Pondy: Relay fast enters second day

Puducherry, July 21: Members of the parents association of the Lakshminarayana Institute of Medical Science here along with their wards continued their relay fast in front of the Legislative Assembly for the second day today to press their demands.

Their demands includes: granting of university affiliation to the college, conducting first year practical examinations, among other things.

It may be noted that students were admitted to the MBBS course being informed that the college was affiliated to the Pondicherry University.

However, with no affiliation so far the management was trying to get deemed university status for the college to which the parents were objecting.
