Rebuked by commissioner, BDO suffers heart attack

Allahabad, July 21 (UNI) A Block Development Officer (BDO) today suffered a heart attack, after he was allegedly rebuked by Allahabad Divisional Commissioner Prabhash Kumar Jha here.

According to reports, a meeting of the BDOs with Mr Jha was held in Soraon.

During the meeting, Mr Jha rebuked the BDO of Soraon Pawan Kumar Singh, who also reacted angrily and tendered his resignation on the spot to the commissioner.

It was also reported that Mr Jha allegedly slapped the BDO.

Mr Singh, who is a heart patient, suffered a heart attack and was brought to the Swaroop Rani Hospital, where doctors referred him to a private hospital.

Later, the employees of Vikas Bhawan and Revenue office went on a flash strike demanding an FIR against Mr Jha.
