Kidnapped businessman rescued

Jalandhar, July 21 (UNI) Police today rescued a local businessman who was kidnapped at gun-point by three persons on Tuesday night at Jhandusingha near here while he was returning from a business trip in Una in Himachal Pradesh.

According to police, the kidnapped businessman Ashok Madan, was rescued safely from village Chhalla in Amritsar district after police zeroed in on his location by mobile surveillance.

Police has rounded some people in this connection but no one has been arrested in the case so far. No ransom had been demanded, the police claimed.
