IGNOU launches B Com, M Com courses for CA students

New Delhi, Jul 21 (UNI) The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched B Com and M Com programmes, exclusively for the Chartered Accountant students so that they can simultaneously pursue the courses while continuing with their CA programme.

A statment issued by IGNOU said admission to Bachelor of Commerce with Major in Accountancy and Finance (B Com A and F) and Master of Commerce in Finance and Taxation (M Com F and T) for July 2007 session has been designed and developed by IGNOU in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

The duration of B Com is three years for regular students and one year for those who have already passed the first stage of CA. The medium of instruction is English and Hindi.

The M Com course is exclusively for CA final students. It is of two years and one year for those, who have already passed CA. The Medium of instruction is English.
