Mumbai: Gold, silver up

Mumbai, July 21: Gold and silver went up today on good demand, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the opening rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg).999 fineness grade: Rs 18,250, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 8,950, Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 9,000.
