Final argument begins in DM Krishnaiyya murder case

Patna, July 21 (UNI) The final argument in the murder case of District Magistrate G Krishnaiyya began in a local sessions court here today.

Special Public Prosecutor Chitranjan Sinha began the final argument of prosecution in the case before Additional District and Sessions judge of Patna R S Rai.

The next hearing in the case would be held on July 24.

G Krishnaiyya, the then District Magistrate of Gopalganj, was killed at Muzaffarpur by a mob in 1994.

Former MPs Anand Mohan and his wife Lovely Anand, MLAs Vijay Kumar Shukla alias Munna Shukla and Akhlaque Ahmad were among the several accused facing the trial in the case.
