Dissappointment in Shekhawat's village
Jaipur, July 21 (UNI) Disappointment prevailed in Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's native village in Sikar district after news of his defeat in Presidential poll poured in.
The villagers of Khachariyawas had been performing special puja for the last few days for Mr Shekhawat's win but were dissappointed after the election result was announced, village Sarpanch Narendra Singh Shekhawat told UNI.
''We were also all hopeful of his victory and wanted to celebrate it in a befitting way,'' the sarpanch said.
The village had celebrated Mr Shekhawat's victory in the Vice-Presidential election five years ago in a big way.
