Coir Board workshop on July 24 in Alappuzha

Kochi, July 21: Coir Board will organise a one-day worshop on 'Fast Changing Scenario in the Coir Export Realm' at Alappuzha on July 24.

The workshop covers subjects like foreign policy, Customs and Central Excise, exchange risk management and patents, an official release here said.

The technical sessions would include various changes in the foreign trade regime following the unveiling of the fourth instalment of the Foreign Trade Policy, recent changes in Customs and Central Excise after this year's Budget and appreciation of rupee and its impact on exports.

Commerce Secretary Gopalakrishna Pillai would inaugurate the worshop and hand over the Registration Certificate of GI on ''Alleppey Coir'' to Coir Board Chairman A C Jose.
