AU to introduce two more IT courses from '07

Visakhapatnam, July 21: The Andhra University (AU) would introduce new courses, MS-Information Technology and MS-Software Engineering, from the next academic year, its Vice-Chancellor L Venugopal Reddy said today.

Speaking to the Press here, he said the decision to include the new courses, under the Department of Computer Science and Systems, was taken in view of the demands and prospects offered by the fast growing IT industry.

Andhra University College of Engineering (Autonomus) would be offering the courses with inputs from IT industries.

He said introduction of a MS five-year integrated programme in Biochemical-Engineering and Biotechnology was under consideration from the next academic year.
