Transport Corp Q1 profit Rs 74 cr

Lucknow, July 20 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has earned a profit of Rs 74.75 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year 2007-08.

Giving this information here, Minister for Transport Ramachal Rajbhar said during this period, the load factor of the buses was 73 per cent.

He has directed the officials to increase it up to 85 per cent.

This year, 2,000 new buses would be added in the Corporation fleet.

Those district headquarters, which lack a bus station will have a new bus station constructed this year.
