Three students drown in sea

Mangalore, July 20 (UNI) Three students of an engineering college from Tamil Nadu drowned in sea, off Panambur beach, on the outskirts of the city here today.

According to the police, a group of 48 students from Sona Engineering College, in Salem district of Tamil Nadu, were on an excursion after visiting Mysore.

The students went to the sea for a swim when three of them were pulled by a strong warrent. The rest managed to swim ashore.

Efforts were on to trace the bodies of the victims.
