Tata steel offers scholarship for displaced families

Bhubaneswar, Jul 20 (UNI) Tata steel has launched a new scheme to provide better quality life and sustainable livelihood for the displaced families of Kalinganagar industrial area in Jajpur district.

The objective of the scheme, christened as Tata Steel Parivar Scholarship, is to create skilled manpower for the children of rehabilitated families and help them seize the employment opportunities in Kalinganagar.

Company sources said the scholarship would cover the cost of course and hostel fees of the children who has taken admission in recognised institutions to undertake graduate or post graduate professional degree or diploma courses in engineering, medicine, nursing, teaching, management, IT and others.

The company hoped the step would improve the quality of life.
