Student murdered after being raped in Kashmir
Srinagar, July 20 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed to have recovered a throat-slit body of a student who was raped and then murdered in Handwara area of border district of Kupwara.
According to Superintendent of Police, Handwara, Haseeb Mughal police recovered the body of the student, Tabinda Jan, from the orchards between Langate and Batpora villages in Handwara area.
He said the victim was a student of Uqaab Public School and had been raped before being murdered by slitting her throat.
Dr Mughal said police have registered a case and launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
