Special BTC candidates burn two coaches

Allahabad, July 20 (UNI) Candidates demanding a state-wise merit list of Special BTC rather than district-wise merit today set afire two coaches of the Allahabad-Rae Bareli Passenger train at the Prayag Railway Station here.

Agitated candidates reached the station and tried to set on fire an engine, but police chased them away. They, however, managaed to set ablaze the two coaches.

Later, the Railway Police and local police arrested two people in this connection.

Earlier, the candidates held a meeting at Azad Park this morning and discussed their next agitation strategy.
