SFI activist succumbs to injuries

Kollam, July 20 (UNI) An activist of the pro-Marxist Students Federation of India (SFI) who suffered serious hack injuries yesterday died at the Medical College Hospital at Thiruvananthapuram today.

Ajay Prasad (21) was attacked by a group late yesterday evening at Klappana, near Karunagapally. Though he was rushed to the Medical College Hospital, he could not be saved.

Police said six RSS activists were taken into custody in connection with the case.

Meanwhile, the CPI(M) called for a hartal in Karunagapally today to protest against the incident.
