Save Goa front withdraws resolution

Panaji, July 20 (UNI) The 'Save Goa Front' withdrew its resolution in the state legislative assembly demanding the government consider giving Rs 2,000 per month to the unemployed youth with a provision to recover the amount in long term instalments after the beneficiary gets suitable employment.

The private member's resolution, moved by Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco(SGF), was supported by the BJP Opposition leader Manohar Parrikar.

It was, however, withdrawn with Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Manohar Azgaoncar assuring the House that necessary steps would be taken to remove unemployment through suitable training and schemes such as the Grameen Rojgar Yojana.
