Satyam posts Rs 378 cr net profit, 27% YoY revenue growth
Kolkata, Jul 20 (UNI) Satyam, a leading global consulting and IT services company, has posted a net profit of Rs 378 crore, a YoY increase of 6.8 per cent for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 (Q1).
Commenting on the results, Satyam founder&chairman B Ramalinga Raju said, ''Overall, it was a strong first quarter performance, and a good beginning for Satyam.'' A company release said revenue was Rs 1830 crore in Q1, a YoY increase of 26.8 per cent and a sequential increase of 2.9 per cent.
EPS was Rs 5.67, a YoY increase of 4.3 per cent, he said.
EBITDA margin for the quarter was 22.4 per cent.
The parent company ended the quarter with 38,386 associates, an addition of 2,716 associates including 1,298 trainees for Q1 08. The number of associates including the subsidiaries and joint ventures stood at 42,347.
Satyam added 29 new customers in the quarter including 2 US Fortune 500 corporations.
Mr Raju said, ''Engineering Services and Infrastructure Management Services grew by 14 per cent and 36 per cent, respectively.
