'Saas-bahu' commit suicide

Lalitpur, July 20 (UNI) A woman and her daughter-in-law allegedly committed suicide after a minor domestic quarrel in Banpur town here today.

Police Superintendent Pramod Kumar Mishra said Savitri Devi (55) and her daughter-in-law Sushma (25) had regular quarrels accusing each other of stealing latter's husband Sanjiv Kumar's money.

This morning after a similar tiff with her daughter-in-law, Savitri hanged herself to death.

Fearing police action, Sushma also committed suicide by dousing herself with kerosene and setting afire.

Investigations were on.

UNI
