Proposal to stop MPSC from recruiting doctors in medical colleges

Mumbai, July 20 (UNI) Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister Dilip Valse Patil today said the state government was considering a proposal to cancel recruitment by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission in government medical colleges, particularly of doctors, and lecturers.

Making a statement on a calling attention notice by Dr Dipak Sawant (Sena) and others, Mr Patil said a proposal to this effect has been before the department and it will be soon tabled before the Cabinet. He said the recruitments would be done by the department directly.

He said the government was also considering all the demands of Maharashtra State Medical Teachers Association regarding the government medical college teachers.
