Jaipur, July 20 (UNI) The people of Chhoti Losal Village in Sikar district of Shekhawati region from where UPA Presidential nominee Pratibha Patil hails, have started celebrating in antipicipation of her victory even before the announcement of the 13th Presidential election results tomorrow.

Ms Patil's brother-in-law Asu Singh Shekhawat told UNI over telephone that village youths were dancing on the beats of drums and Chung (folk instrument), while women folk were singing folk songs and performing special religious rites.

Special puja was also being performed at the Karni Mata Temple built by Ms Patil's husband Dr Devi Singh Shekhawat, Mr Asu Singh said.

Ms Patil's husband Dr Shekhawat hails from Chhoti Losal. During her term as Rajasthan Governor Ms Patil had visited this village thrice.

People of Khachariyawas village in the same Sikar district are equally optimistic about NDA backed Independent Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's victory. Mr Shekhawat hails from this village.

Special prayers and Rudraabhishek were being performed in the temples of the village for ''Babosa'' (Mr Shekhawat's) win.

The notable feature was that villagers of both the two villages of Shekhawati have started celebrating the election result tomorrow in the victory of either of the candidates.

They feel that the name of the winner is not important but the event is important as both the contenders belong to Shekhawati region.

''The winner may be the son of soil(Mr Shekhawat) or the daughter in law(Ms Patil), Shekhawati will win in either siutation and the people of Shekhawati will celebrate the event accordingly'', was the general feeling of the people.
