More rains for Kerala, Lakshadweep

Thiruvananthapuram, July 20 (UNI) Many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep experienced rainfall in the last 24 hours with Agathi receiving the maximum of 14 cm.

According to the local Met office, Amini received rainfall of ten cm, followed by Kavarathi with nine cm and Alappuzha with eight cm.

Thiruvananthapuram City and Kollam recorded five cm each and Kozha, Piravam and Thrissur four cm each of shower.

The Met office said rainfall will occur at many places in Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Kerala in the next two days.

Strong onshore winds from the westerly direction with speeds occasionally reaching 45-55 kmph, is likely off the Kerala Coast and over Lakshadweep during the next 48 hours.
