Minor dead, four critically burnt

Gonda, July 20 (UNI) A child succumbed and four others, including a woman, received severe burnt injuries, when a major fire engulfed a house in Itiyathok area here.

Police today said the incident took place late last night at Bhopatpur village, where trader Laxmichandra Kaushal's wife and his four children got trapped in fire.

They were admitted to hospital with serious burnt injuries, where Ravi (14) succumbed, while others were referred to Lucknow.

The fire resulted in a huge loss of property, though the reason behind the blaze was yet to be ascertained.
