Manish Malhotra is Lakme Grand Finale Designer for Winter '07

Mumbai, July 20 (UNI) Lakme today announced Manish Malhotra as the Lakme Grand Finale Designer to showcase the winter fashion statement for 2007.

Manish will bring alive his individual interpretation of Lakme's fashion statement for winter 2007 with it's expert panel of stylists and make-up artistes through his garments and a special make-up range from the company.

Lakme's Winter ''Free Spirit'' range is designed to highlight the Indian woman's features and skin tone in two different moods - by day and by night. The fashion statement will be showcased at the Lakme Grand Finale 2008 show through the creative expression of Manish Malhotra on October 17 at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), here.

Speaking to reporters today, Anil Chopra, Vice-President, LakmeUnilever said, ''For the past three seasons, Lakme grand finale designers have done full justice to the fashion statements with their style, creativity and passion. This season, we look forward to Manish Malhotra's contemporary style as the grand finale designer at the hottest event on the Indian fashion scene- Lakme Fashion Week.'' Lakme also unveiled their new face Amrit Maghera today. An Indo-British model, actress, singer and dancer from the UK, Amrit has training in formal acting and holds a first class degree in drama and dance.
