Karnataka Police seize Rs 4 Cr worth illicit liquor

Bangalore, July 20 (UNI) Karnataka Police have seized Rs four Crore worth illicit Arrack and liquor in a series of raids conducted in the State since imposition of ban on sale of arrack in the State since July One, Director General and Inspector General of Police Srinivasan said today.

In a release here, he said that 786 people were arrested in this connection for violation of the provisions of the Karnataka Excise Act and 764 cases were registered against them. Twenty vehicles, including lorries, two-wheelers used for illegal transportation of the banned illicit liquor and arrack have also been seized.
