Home Ministry to assist in Haneef's investigation

New Delhi, July 20: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) today confirmed that it had received a request from the Australian government for assistance in the investigation against Indian doctor Mohammed Haneef, an accused in the failed terror attack in the United Kingdom.

"Necessary assistance is being provided as per due process through proper channel," MHA official spokesman said here today.

"This is the practice being followed in such cases," he added.
