Hizbul militant arrested with 6.5 lakh hawala money
Jammu, July 20 (UNI) Security forces today arrested a militant of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit with 6.5 lakh hawala money at Ramban-Sangaldam road in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here.
Hizbul militant, identified as Arif Ahmed, was going to Gool with Rs 6.5 lakh cash hawala money by a light motor public vehicle sources said adding that police party at Ramban-Sangaldam road intercepted him.
A police official said Rs 6.5 lakh was recovered from the possession of a militant and the police on the spot arrested him.
During interrogation, he revealed that Hizbul divisional commander Abu Mastan sent the hawala money from Awantipura (Pulwama) for his Gool-Mahore HM commander Abu Hanif, he added.
The interrogations are still on.
